Dr. Wiencek is a board-certified clinical chemist at the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he serves as the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Chemistry, Medical Director of Point of Care Testing and Immunology and Co-Director of the UVA Clinical Chemistry Fellowship program. He enjoys every opportunity to teach clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine. His research interests are in the areas of diagnostic stewardship, medical education and preanalytical variation in laboratory testing.
