Nicole A. Cipriani, MD is an Associate Professor at the University of Chicago Medicine & Biological Sciences Division. She is board-certified in Anatomic (AP) and Clinical Pathology (CP), and fellowship-trained (Massachusetts General Hospital) in Head & Neck and Bone & Soft Tissue Pathology. She is the Medical Director of Gross Pathology and Anatomic Pathology Informatics at the University of Chicago and co-directs a course (Cellular Pathology & Immunology) in the Pritzker School of Medicine. She was recently inducted into the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators. Clinically, she is a diagnostic surgical pathologist with a subspecialty focus in Head & Neck, Endocrine, and Bone & Soft Tissue Pathology. Her academic research interests include neoplasms of the thyroid gland, salivary gland, and squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck. She is interested in virtual pathology, including whole slide imaging for educational purposes, pathologic diagnosis, and machine learning.
