Objectives

  • Identify benign red cell morphologic features and know the terminology pertaining to size, color, abnormal shapes, and inclusions as discussed in the red blood cell videos.

  • Describe the composition of the different red cell inclusions.

  • Identify benign white cell and platelet findings as discussed in WBCs and platelets video.

  • Identify benign marrow findings as discussed in the benign marrow findings video.

  • Provide a differential diagnosis or some clinical scenarios in which one might see these red cell, WBC, platelet, and marrow findings.
