Objectives:
By the end of the video, students should be able to:
Identify the key steps in maturation of the ovarian follicle and oocyte and how their respective steps in maturation relate to one another.
Identify the corresponding N/C notation for during the transformation of an oogonium to a haploid ovum.
Describe the histology of the maturing follicle, the proliferative and secretory phase of the endometrium during the menstrual cycle, and key structures (fallopian tube, cervix, vagina) of the female reproductive tract.
Understand the interrelated changes that occur in the uterus and the ovary during the menstrual cycle.
