Objectives

By the end of the video, students should be able to:

1. Discuss the similar histological makeup of arteries and veins and how this is reflected in the size and composition of the tunica intima, media, and externa

2. Know the location of elastic fibers in elastic and muscular arteries making up the internal and external lamina and their purpose. 

3. Describe the composition and key features of continuous, fenestrated, and discontinuous capillaries

4. Summarize the function of the different types of capillaries and be able to provide an example of where each is located in the body.
